"the other way around" means the opposite of what you currently have. But if it is the other way and then that way around, wouldn't that be what you just started with?

It's kind of like how a double negative can be used (though not properly in English) to simply emphasize the first negative, not negate it.
yeah, I don't think it is grammatically correct, probably just another english idiom.
I think "around" is just describing how it's "the other way". Does that make any sense? I worded that strangely.
